Identifying the Issues
Cumbria Strategic Partnership with Cumbria County Council wished to provide its members with opportunities for debate and discussion during the transition period following a new central government administration, the financial crisis and the daunting efficiencies which needed to be made.
Interventions
Strategic Solutions worked with them during 2010 and 2011 to assist them to pause and think what would best suit them into the future and to look outside to consider the ways in which other areas of the country had tackled similar issues. The time was used mainly for research and analysis on current changes in partnership landscape, perceptions and responses. An expert analysis was provided of implications and opportunities and a review of a sample of partnerships in two tier areas around the country was provided. Draft recommendations and a final report were prepared after meeting with CSP staff.
